When Mary's Dad Ted moved down from Aberdeen in 1939 to take a job at Sovex in Erith he took digs with a very kind landlady who he called
Mother McMahon in a house in Northumberland Way in Erith. Many years later when Auntie Lilian moved out of Swanton Road, she bought the very
same house - we were so amazed, especially Ted! When Lilian invited Ted around, he was able to tell her of the experiences he had had in that
house during the second world war. It is strange how families' paths cross!!
